Learn how to safely remove customers from your Toolfy account while preserving important business records.
Deleting a customer affects their associated jobs, invoices, and quotes. Make sure you understand the implications before proceeding.
Customer is hidden from lists but data is preserved for 30 days. This protects against accidental deletion and maintains business records.
Customer and all associated data is immediately removed. This action cannot be undone.
Navigate to Customers
Go to the Customers page from your main navigation
Find the Customer
Use the search bar or scroll to find the customer you want to delete
Click the Three Dots Menu
Click the "⋯" menu in the customer row
Select Delete Option
Choose "Delete Customer" from the menu
Confirm Deletion Type
Choose between "Soft Delete (30 days)" or "Permanent Delete"
Type Customer Name to Confirm
For safety, type the customer's full name exactly as shown
Open Customer Details
Click on the customer name to view their full profile
Find the Delete Button
Look for the red "Delete Customer" button in the top right
Review Associated Records
The confirmation dialog will show you all jobs, invoices, and quotes that will be affected
Confirm with Customer Name
Type the customer's full name to proceed with deletion
For Pro and Unlimited plans, you can delete multiple customers at once.
Select Multiple Customers
Use the checkboxes to select customers you want to delete
Click Bulk Actions
The bulk actions menu appears when customers are selected
Choose Delete Selected
Review the list of customers and their associated records
Confirm Bulk Deletion
Type "DELETE" in capitals to confirm bulk deletion
Soft-deleted customers can be recovered within 30 days.
Toolfy follows UK GDPR requirements for data deletion and customer rights.
Some records may need to be retained for tax and legal compliance.
