Quote expiry dates protect your business from material cost increases and encourage customers to make decisions promptly.
Always communicate expiry dates clearly to customers. Expired quotes can still be renewed or revised.
Go to Settings → Quotes
Navigate to the quote configuration settings
Find "Default Expiry" Section
Look for the quote expiry configuration options
Set Default Expiry Period
Choose from: 7 days, 14 days, 30 days, 60 days, or custom
Save Settings
All new quotes will use this default expiry period
Create or Edit Quote
When creating a new quote or editing an existing one
Find "Quote Expiry" Field
Usually located in the quote details section
Set Custom Expiry Date
Override the default with a specific date or different period
Save Quote
The custom expiry date will override the default for this quote
Recommended: 24-48 hours
Quick decisions needed, pricing may change due to availability
Recommended: 14-30 days
Standard pricing, reasonable decision time
Recommended: 30-60 days
Complex decisions, budget approval needed

Find Expired Quote
Go to Quotes page and filter by "Expired" status
Click "Renew Quote"
Find the renewal option in the quote actions menu
Review and Update Pricing
Check if materials/labor costs have changed since original quote
Set New Expiry Date
Assign a fresh expiry date for the renewed quote
Send Renewed Quote
Send the updated quote to customer with renewal message

Hi [Customer Name],
Your quote for [Job Description] expired on [Expiry Date]. We'd still love to work on your project!
We can renew this quote with current pricing. Since the original quote, material costs have [increased/decreased/remained stable].
Would you like us to:
• Renew the quote with original pricing (if still valid)
• Update the quote with current pricing
• Schedule a quick call to discuss your project
