Set Up Payment Processing
Connect Stripe to accept online payments from customers.
To get paid online, you'll need to connect a Stripe account. This lets customers pay invoices with credit cards or bank transfers.
Connect Stripe (5 minutes)
Open payment settings
Go to Settings → Payment Setup and click "Connect with Stripe".
Create or link account
If you're new to Stripe, create an account. If you already have one, sign in and connect it.
Add business details
Enter your business name, address, and bank account details for receiving payments.
Test the connection
Create a test invoice and send it to yourself to confirm everything works.
What you need for setup
Business information
Legal business name, address, phone number
Bank account
UK business bank account for receiving payments
Identification
Government-issued ID (driving license or passport)
Business documents
May be required for some business types
Payment methods you'll accept
Once connected, customers can pay invoices using:
- Credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express
- Debit cards: UK debit cards with instant processing
- Bank transfers: Direct bank-to-bank payments
- Digital wallets: Apple Pay and Google Pay
Payment processing fees
Stripe charges standard UK rates:
- Card payments: 1.4% + 20p per transaction
- Bank transfers: £0.25 per transaction
- Payouts to your bank: Free
Money deposits to your bank account in 1-2 business days.
