Customer portal starter guide
Customers love status updates; you don’t have time to text everyone. Share Toolfy’s portal links so they can check schedules, pay invoices, and upload photos without calling.
Enable the portal
- Go to Settings → Customer portal → toggle Enabled.
- Customize the logo, colors, and support email.
- Decide what’s visible (jobs, invoices, documents, quotes).
Sharing links
- From any job/invoice, click “Share portal link”.
- Send via SMS/email template: “Track your job & pay online: {{portal_link}}”.
- For repeat clients, pin the link in their customer record so it’s always handy.

Use this copy when customers ask “How do I use it?”:
“Tap the link we texted. You’ll see upcoming visits, any paperwork we need, and a pay button. Upload photos straight from your phone if something changes.”
