Best Practices for Job Photos
What to Photograph
- Wide shots: Show overall area/room/equipment
- Close-ups: Detail specific problems or repairs
- Serial numbers: Equipment being serviced
- Damage: Pre-existing issues not your fault
- Access issues: Blocked panels, locked gates
- Safety hazards: Document dangerous conditions
- Completed work: Clean, professional final shots
Photo Quality Tips
- Good lighting: Use flash or work lights in dark areas
- Clear focus: Tap screen to focus before shooting
- Clean lens: Wipe phone camera lens first
- Multiple angles: Take 3-4 shots of important items
- Include context: Show surrounding area, not just close-up
- Steady shot: Brace against wall or use both hands
Privacy Tip: Avoid photographing personal items, family photos, or sensitive documents visible in customer's property. Focus on your work area only.

Troubleshooting Photo Issues
Photos Not Uploading
- Check internet connection
- Look for upload queue indicator
- Verify not exceeding 10MB per photo
- Ensure app has camera/photo permissions
- Try WiFi if mobile data is slow
Can't Take Photos
- Grant camera permission in device settings
- Check device storage isn't full
- Close and reopen app
- Update to latest app version
Photos Look Blurry
- Clean camera lens
- Tap to focus before shooting
- Hold phone steady
- Use more light
- Check if compression is too high
Wrong Photos on Job
- Check you're on correct job
- Delete and re-upload to right job
- Use captions to clarify
- Contact support if photos mixed up
Pro Tip: Take more photos than you think you need. Storage is cheap, but you can't go back in time to photograph something you missed. Delete unwanted photos later.
