Stripe Connect verification tightening for UK trades (Nov 2025)
Stripe just notified UK Connect platforms that new FCA AML guidance kicks in this month. Practically, it means more “Action required” tasks inside Stripe Express. Ignore them and your payouts pause.
What changed?
- Beneficial owner re-checks – Anyone with 25%+ ownership must re-upload ID.
- Bank account proof – Stripe now requests a statement or void cheque for older accounts.
- Address confirmation – Utility bill or business rates letter dated within 3 months.

- Open Toolfy → Settings → Payments.
- If you see a yellow

Timeline if you do nothing
| Day | What happens | | --- | --- | | 0 | Stripe flags the account, payouts continue temporarily | | 7 | First payout holds until documents are supplied | | 30 | Account may be restricted from creating new charges |
